With more than 30 years of customer service experience, I know insurance isn’t just about policies and paperwork. Our team can help with auto, home, renters, condo, life, business, and pet insurance. We’re a friendly, Texas-licensed team that believes in taking the time to understand what you need—not simply selling you a policy. And yes, our office is pet-friendly, because four-legged family members are always welcome.

September Insurance Tip: It’s Peak Hurricane Season

September is historically an important month for Gulf Coast storm preparedness, so if you live in Corpus Christi or the Coastal Bend, now is a good time to understand your insurance coverage before there’s a storm in the Gulf.

A few things worth checking:

  • Know your windstorm coverage. Along the Texas coast, wind and hail coverage may be handled differently than your standard homeowners policy.

  • Check your deductibles. Windstorm and hurricane deductibles can be very different from the deductible you would pay for other types of losses.

  • Review your personal property coverage. Think about electronics, furniture, tools, outdoor equipment, and other belongings you would have to replace after a major loss.

  • Take photos or video of your home and belongings. A quick home inventory stored safely in the cloud can be extremely helpful if you ever need to file a claim.

  • Don’t wait until a storm is approaching. Insurance coverage may be restricted or unavailable once a named storm threatens the Texas coast.

I’m a graduate of Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and a proud United States Army veteran. When I’m not in the office, you’ll probably find me cooking or grilling, catching a game, or shooting sporting clays.

Giving back to Corpus Christi is important to me. I’ve had the privilege of being involved with organizations including the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi, Ronald McDonald House, and American Heart Association. I’m also proud to be part of CC Mustangs and a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi Class 45.

Most importantly, family is everything to me. I’m blessed to be married to my wonderful wife, Jodi, and I’m a proud dad to one son at London Independent School District and two bonus kids at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. Shakas up!
